Biography

Eris Dovain is a new-era SSO R&B artist from Upper Manhattan, blending smooth R&B with Caribbean dancehall textures and a raw, emotional edge. Half Panamanian and half African American, he connected with jaydobeatzz in the summer of 2025 and has been crafting a sound that feels both current and deeply personal ever since. Inspired by Tory Lanez, Justin Bieber, VEDO, and Bryson Tiller, his music carries a “toxic but in a good way” energy, shaped by heartbreak and introspection. Rather than leaning into cliché emotion, Eris builds records that feel intentional and layered. Each song holds a “hidden meaning” that is “deeper than the superficial meaning and words,” something he “leaves up to the real listeners who feel something real and resonate with the emotions and feelings.” A standout moment on his debut project TOXIC LOVE MUSIC VOL 1, produced alongside jaydobeatzz, is the track “How I Met Your Mother.” Inspired by the show, the record flips the concept into something more personal and bittersweet. It centers around meeting someone who becomes your “Robyn” — the one that sets the standard so high that every girl you meet after, no matter how good it is, just never feels the same. The song captures that quiet realization that you’ve already experienced something you can’t replicate, blending nostalgia, attachment, and emotional conflict into one of the project’s most defining records.
